inspiration [poem]

let's write
an erotic
poem!  

in the manner
of generations
of poets before us
let's select
metaphorical
imagery
to symbolize
our innermost
desire 

fruit!
there's a symbol
for you!

let's write
of plump round curves
glistening skin
soft sweet flesh
yielding to
taste and tongue
feel soft peach fuzz here
touch delectable little bumps there
sometimes so fragile
sometimes so firm
perfect spheres
imperfect oblongs
fruit hanging
low and high
delicious juices
streaming over our chins
damn
now I'm hungry
I wonder
what's in
the fridge
